Fall Winterization
Drain to 6–18" below the waterline tile for the season
Full evacuation of water from lines, pump, filter, heater, and generator
Antifreeze and Gizmo expansion devices installed in skimmers
Winterizing plugs installed in all return lines
Stabilizing chemicals plus winter algaecide and shock treatment
Winter cover installation where applicable
Emailed Winterization Report with next-season recommendations
Winter Watch Service
Verify water sits at the correct winter level — pumped down if too high (critical for mesh-covered or uncovered pools)
Cover inspection — pump water off solid covers; patch or replace water bags, anchors, straps, or springs as needed
Water balance check with algaecide and floating chemical feeder replenished as spring approaches
Confirm main pump, Polaris pump, heater, and filter held up through winterization
Visual check for cover/component damage from debris
